Cleanings & Exams

Want to keep your teeth happy and healthy for the long haul? Schedule regular dental cleanings! We recommend coming in every six months or so, so we can remove the plaque and tartar that build up on your teeth over time and perform a thorough dental health exam to check for any additional signs of trouble.

Pediatric Dentistry

We love helping children to get a strong start towards a lifetime of good oral health! When you bring your child in for a visit (we recommend starting around age 1 or so), we won’t just conduct a thorough oral health checkup, but help them learn the basics of good oral hygiene care, so they can start establishing healthy habits at home. Plus, if your child does need a filling or another procedure, we offer safe, effective nitrous oxide sedation to help them feel comfortable during the visit!

Sealants

We use sealants to cover tricky, hard-to-brush areas of teeth like small crevices or dips that can become breeding grounds for bacteria. Made from a plastic resin, sealants provide a physical barrier between your tooth enamel and bacteria and help to prevent cavities.

Fluoride Treatment

Did you know that tooth enamel wears away over time? However, fluoride can help rebuild your tooth enamel (a process called remineralization) and support the health and longevity of your teeth. We typically recommend a fluoride treatment during your biannual cleaning sessions.

Oral Cancer Screenings

During a cleaning or dental exam, we’ll also perform a quick, gentle oral cancer screening to check for any signs of trouble and make sure we catch them right away.

Night Guards

Do you grind your teeth while you sleep? This condition, also known as bruxism, is a common one, but can produce discomfort, strain, and even damage to your teeth. We can create a custom-fitted mouthguard designed to your unique specifications that will help protect your teeth while you sleep, so you can rest easy!

Custom Sports Mouthguards

If you play contact sports (or even just sports with a possibility of contact), you’ll want a mouthguard to protect your teeth against a rogue elbow or poorly-timed collision. While you can buy one over the counter from a pharmacy, we can do you one better — by creating a custom-made dental-grade mouthguard that is specifically designed to fit your individual mouth. Our custom fit mouthguards provide superior protection to teeth and are much more comfortable to wear.

Sleep Apnea Appliances

Struggling with sleep apnea but don’t want to rely on a bulky CPAP machine? We can create a custom dental appliance, similar to a mouthguard, to help improve your sleep and maintain a safe, steady airflow.

Emergency Dentistry

If you’re having a dental emergency or need dental help now, don’t wait. Give us a call today and we’ll schedule you for a visit ASAP. Once you’re here, we’ll perform a full dental exam so we can get to the bottom of what’s going on and get you fixed up right away.

TMJ Treatment

If you’re struggling with pain in your jaw, headaches, or clicking and popping sounds when you move your jaw, you may be dealing with TMJ disorder. We can help! TMJ disorder, or TMD, is caused by an inflammation or irritation of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which is the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull.

We will work with you to create a custom treatment plan to help alleviate your symptoms and get you back to feeling comfortable again. Treatment may involve wearing a mouthguard or splint at night, doing exercises or jaw stretches, or undergoing occlusal (bite) adjustment. In some cases, we may also recommend surgical intervention.

Fillings

Composite Filling (posterior)

Composite Filling (anterior)

If we find a cavity during your exam, we will recommend treatment as soon as possible to prevent further damage. We use tooth-colored fillings made from composite resin, which blend in seamlessly with your smile and support the strength of your tooth.

We will begin by numbing the area around the tooth and then cleaning out the decay. Once the tooth is clean, we will fill it with the biocompatible filling material to restore its structure and function. This material is hardened using a special light and then polished to give it a natural appearance.

Tooth Extraction

Surgical removal of wisdom teeth

In some situations, a tooth may be too damaged to be saved. If this is the case, we will recommend extraction as the best solution. First, we will numb the area around the tooth and then gently move it back and forth to loosen it from its supporting ligaments. Once the tooth is loose, we will remove it from your mouth.

In some cases, we may need to make a small incision in your gum tissue to access the tooth. This is known as a surgical extraction, and may be necessary if the tooth is impacted or has broken off below the gum line.
